WS Hallowine Pick ~ The Devil You Know👹

Since the dawn of time, a presence has been lurking in the shadows. One who personifies temptation, rebellion, forbidden desire, the dark side. Our better angels tell us that something wicked this way comes and yet… the diabolical force can intrigue us.
As folklore tells it, the devil can be charming, cultured, glamorous, inviting; so much so that one can be quite easily seduced.
So let’s dance with the devil in the pale moon light, shall we?

Presenting: 2023 Devils Well Cabernet Sauvignon ~ Napa Valley.

Napa Valley Cabs are traditionally well-structured with a lush mouth feel. Like a delicate dance, hot days ripen the berries followed by cool nights that preserve the acidity and tannin structure. Regional volcanic soils typically give these wines a dusty, mineral character with rich black cherry vibes.
Grapes cultivated on hillside have a higher acidity, notes of blackberry and rustic tannins.

Other flavors can include: black currant, tobacco, blackberry and mint.

Tasting Notes:
Devil’s Well is a spirited example of many Napa Cabs. The color is a deep, dark almost opaque garnet. Flavors and essences of succulent black cherry, brooding blackberry draws you in as you swirl. With age, hints of smoke, cedar, graphite, espresso, warm leather and spice emerge.

The richness of Napa Cabs demand decanting (> 2 hours) and rich, flavorful foods.

Pairs well with: herb-encrusted grilled meats, old aged cheeses such as cheddar, gouda and blue cheese. Deviled eggs (!) and hearty stews simmered for hours create a devilishly good pairing as nights get cooler and shadows grown long.

Price Point: $21.99

The devil you say? Yes! Give in to temptation and pour yourself a glass and slowly savor.
Just say the devil made you do it. 😈

Happy Halloween!👹🍷🎃
